LINUX

I installed the games nexuiz and sauerbraten (FPS games) but can't get them to work.

It seems but when I open them they either freeze up requiring a reboot or there is HEAPS of lag and no evident mouse pointer making the menu screens impossible to navigate. Either way it don't work.

It's been suggested that the video drivers may be a fault?

I was a learning linux nerd, but I got sick of playing and went iMac, only because it takes up less room than having a big brain box.
Vid on board may be too slow, I ended up installing a higher ram graphic card with it's own cooler fan. Do a search for Linux compatible graphic cards.
If I remember I installed a radeon graphic card. Some geforce also work, it was just searching for linux drivers. There are more and more options these days. But you still need to do some home work.
And pcs like Dell and HP can be problems.
I assume you are using Mint?
I tried Kubuntu with great success, didn't like the ubuntu look. they use .deb
Also used PClinuxOS worked well .rpm .
But the member support on the respective forums was great. The more popular a distro is the more info and help you get.
