I am looking to get a ecu for my td5 discovery I have the none flashable type I got onto TRS they have a chipped ecu or a flashable ecu which is the better option do ye think

I don't see why you wouldn't go flashable as it provides the best of both worlds. Programed as standard with the option if you every wish to upgraede you can.:)
