G 'day,
After fitting my white Tiger 2 inch lift kit I was ready to mount my new 33 inch Micky T's on shiny new -25mm offset wheels. The 33's will not fit in the original wheel arches so flares were ordered and some cutting was needed.

I had no instructions with my flare kit which was annoying but after some research on this site and alot of trial fitting I finally had enough beers to start cutting into my pride and joy. Remember, it is very difficult to un cut a quater panel so go to around 80% of what your'e 100% sure of (if you're not 100% sure of what you're doing STOP!) Trial fit and recut if nessesary.
Below are pictures of before and after original cut

My first cut was pretty spot on but I spent quite some time making sure I cleaned up the ruff edges and painted any exposed metal before the final fit. I fitted rubber edging to the top of the flares where the contact the panel. This is optional but the hard plastic will rub when flexing occurs. Cut a small Wedge out of the sides of the rubber strip if following tight corners. this will reduce warping. Be sure to use a sharp blade. You can glue any stubborn bits down later
Finally refit into the position that you want the flare sit. Once your completely happy, drill the hole for the screws with a suitable bit. I used 3.5mm bits for mine. I have pictured the final fitted flare and the material removed. Sit back and relax (have a beer!) admire your work and if you are just a tiny bit dissatisfied with anything, fix it up before you move to the next one. We all have good intentions of getting back to trim/move something but it wont happen if you move on!

I do have pictures of the cutting of the rear doors and arches however I am having trouble loading more pictures for some reason. I will work this out and repost if possible
Below is the final result

I had a load of fun fitting my flares. After fitting the the suspension lift, body lift and flare kit myself I get a big smile on my face every time I get a thumbs up at the lights. It's rewarding fitting this stuff so I'll say get of your bums and have a go!
Cheers for looking at my thread
