Thought I would give a heads-up to anyone who did what I did when replacing broken exhaust manifold studs, and drills off centre , and has no idea what to do next. A mate put me onto a bloke who works under the name of "threadtec" , he makes house calls, does this for a living, and is very good , google threadtec if you live in Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast. If you had used a left hand helix drill turning in the opposite direction to normal then the broken stud would wind out in most cases.

Nothing new about those. They have been around since I was an apprentice in the late 1950's. How did that make the "New Inventors" show?
Nicely overpriced too. Star Tool Supply in New York has them in their catalogue at US$8.30 for the 3/16"-5/8" and US$12.80 for the 3/16" - 1 3/16"
Very easy to make from some scrap if you have a lathe.
