One question Alan, Why?

If it is because the replacements from LR dealers are very expensive. There are replacement wipers to fit the D3 are available from Repco fairly cheaply, they work well.

Go to super cheap and buy Tridon blades and holders ($30 each)- these allow the actual blades to be replaced. Replace the D3 holders and when the new blades need replacing you only need to buy the blades (less that $10) rather than blade and holfer.

Or go shopping for a set of blades to suit a BA Falcon. They are the same.

its not just cost looking at using silicone replacements seem to last a bit longer i send a lot of time in the bush and hate the wiper drag noise

It may pay to just clean your wipers then, use a cloth & some windscreen cleaner & wipe the blade.
If the blade shudders across the windscreen, then you may need to adjust the wiper attack angle to the screen.
Basically just bend the arm upwards, by using a set of pliers in a cloth & grab the arm just before where the wiper blade clips into & bend up towards the top of the screen, i adjusted mine the 2nd day i got it.

Yep, same part number from spares, so i gather the blade hasnt changed much from LR.
I sure the Bosch blades have 2 different connectors in the pack, then its a matter of fitting the right one & away you go. It come with instructions anyhow.

p.s. you were up early !

Is there any history of weak arm springs? With the D2, I understand that the wiper arms were not as reliable as those on the D1; hence I am wondering about the 3.

I am having a problem with the passenger side arm not wiping as well as the drivers side. I at first assumed it was the rubber portion of the blade but I am starting to think that the downward wiper arm force on the windscreen may be less than it should be. It is hard to tell just by pulling up on the arm, but the drivers side arm that works well feels to have more downward force than the other side.

The hinges are clean - no corrosion and there is no shuddering of the either blade so I assume the angle is OK, but I did wonder about the pressure.

Bbyer,
We find a lot on the D3 (& to also include the D2) that the cast wiper arms for whatever reason tend to loosen on the spindle, i find that loosening the arm completely, remove & then refitting properly & torquing down the arm onto the spindle fixes the issue.
See how you go i suppose;).

Cheers.
