It took me hours & hours to track these down, so anybody wanting an exploded drawing & part numbers for thier Stihl saws click on the link below.

good stuff, but you could have joined one of the many chainsaw forums and had someone link you them in a few minutes.......or bought a Husky instead and not had to worry about spare parts :p

Just call me hard way harry.:D So Huskies never wear out sprockets nor need replacement air filters like Stihls? Good to know that one.:eek:

sprockets are easy and they are a consumable, go to Oregon's website and follow the easy to links and it will tell you the part#s for your saw/s. You can either buy at your local dealer or troll the bays....Husky air filtration, up untill the recent development of a particular few models, has been superior to Stihl by a fair way. Im not a Stihl hater by any means, they make great saws.

I have a Husky 394 & have owned a 365 recently replaced with a 372. I had a 359 previously but it ran .325 chain. My fave saw is a McCulloch 800 ( 82cc) but I have a couple of Mac PM700's & a 650. Parts & lists are easy to find for them. I have been mucking around with smaller saws lately & just bought a siezed Stihl 009 (38cc) to replace a Solo 605 - I wanted a chainbrake feature. I also have a Partner 340 ( 35cc) which says "by Husqvarna" but is really a Poulan its a great saw but very noisy. So I'm not looking for filters, but a barrel & piston for a Stihl 009L. Looking at the muffler, it will be a much quieter saw than the Partner.
I'm familiar with the Oregon site, I have thier "bible" which has all the bar templates so you can lay the bar against the page to identify. My McCulloch & Husky saws all run common sprockets & chains that I get out of USA.

DeeJay, All good mate, was just havin a stir. I have seen that vid years ago. Nothing wrong with Sthil's they have put plent of timber on the ground and into my hands as a chippy. All saws have their pros and cons. I have all Huskies but would have no problem buying certain Stihl, Solo or Dolmar. J'red are just husky's with a different front handle angle now. I could never get into the Mac's, just big heavy B'stard's for my liking. The Sp125 and 101A/101B kart motor saws have a big place in Histroy though. I would like to cull a few of my saws and add just one Solo 681 to my line up. My 346xp is fine for small pruning and some chippy work. The 272xp and 288xp take care of the rest.....Then there is the 2100's some faster than others ;)
