I've got a 1985 county 110 with the 3-prong fuel filler neck and metal cap - i was wondering if the defender fuel filler are the same size etc so i can upgrade to use lockable fuel cap. Has anyone else done this.

I think they are similar to early Defenders and you can use the steel/chrome type flat filler cap. You can not use the plastic threaded type.

Anything wrong with one of these?
SERIES 2, 2A and 3 LAND ROVER FUEL FILLER LOCKING HASP | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SERIES-2-2A-and-3-LAND-ROVER-FUEL-FILLER-LOCKING-HASP-/270281984472?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3eee0fc9d8)
Works well on my County and Series.

The County ones are definitely larger diameter than a 300tdi Defender as I fitted a 300tdi long range tank to my county a few weeks ago and found the tank inlet is smaller.
From memory the County is 3", and the 300tdi Defender ones are 2.5".
