My 2003 vogue 4.4V8 is getting pink / orange fluid sprayed under the engine bay from the front of the engine. It is being sprayed by the fan across the various components in the front. The fluid is orange colour when collected on a ledge next to the fan , but pink when dried on the adjacent pipes and parts next to or behind the fan. Cleaned it once went for a drive and it was there again. No warning lights are coming up , it's oily when wet. I can't see where it's coming from? Does anyone have an ideas what it may be ? Eventually it will run out as I'm not topping anything up ! Worried , can any one help . Thanks

First thought would be power steering fluid, but some coolants are now a pinky sorta colour, would start by checking the hoses/fittings around the radiator.

I would suspect coolant as a first thought but it shouldn't be oily, check to see if the expansion tank has cracked as you may have a fine jet of coolant spraying from there and then being bounced back off the fan as they commonly fail.
Other worse possibility could be trans fluid coming up from the trans cooler at the bottom of the radiator, but would be a touch gravity defying for it to get high in the engine bay.

thanks for the replies , it is not coolant as we have been putting green coolant in. the expansion tank did blow and it has been replaced. I suspected trans fluid , and will investigate further over the weekend. the gravity challenge coud be dealt with by the fan bringing it up to the top ????

The photos of the spray are attached. The bottom of the engin bay on certain hoses ( no photos of this part ) has quite alot of the fluid on it.
Any further ideas on what it is?

The coolant we are using though is Green. We are filling up every week though , so it would make sense that it is coolant , its just that the colours are different? Power steering levels are fine. Gear Box seems like it is working OK , Im sure we would notice the difference if it was loosing that much fluid. Ill try see if there are loose / damaged hoses below.

It is coolant. You have a coolant leak. This is not an opinion, this is fact. :p
