I’d like to introduce myself as I am new to this forum. My name is Paul and I am the owner of Garrison Outfitters LLC out of the U.S. I have created a solution to the rattling windows in Defender vehicles. We have kits for both the rear sliding side windows on Defender wagons, as well as for the removable door tops on some ex-MOD vehicles.

This rubberized extrusion replaces the factory felt lining in Land Rover Defender rear sliding windows and eliminates the persistent, annoying glass 'chatter' so common in these vehicles. Customers have also stated they now experience less wind noise coming from the rear of their vehicles when travelling at highway speeds.

Made from virgin (non-recycled) EPDM rubber for its superior temperature and weather-resistance, this product is impervious to ozone and resists fading. Inner surfaces are flocked to reduce friction allowing the window glass to slide freely in the channel.

This kit is a complete solution, with enough window channel and rivets to complete both rear sliding windows. As an added touch, the kit also includes the correct
#2 Pozidriv ACR bit which prevents stripping of the hard-to-find screws holding the window frame together.

The kit for the rear sliding windows contains the following:

• 2 x 5-ft flocked rubber extrusions (completes both rear sliding windows)
• 50 x Sealed POP® Rivets
• 1 x 3 oz bottle of GooGone®
• 1 x 3M® Final Stripping Pad
• 1 x Wooden width-gauge disc
• 1 x #2 Pozidriv ACR bit
• 1 x Full color illustrated installation guide

I am attaching product images as well as a picture of the kit so you can see exactly what you will be receiving.

If you would like to see the complete installation guides, go to Garrison Outfitters® (http://www.garrisonoutfitters.com) then “My Account” at the top of the page. Once you register you will be able to view a virtual booklet or download the PDF file for either kit. We are also in the process of developing installation videos that will be ready in a few weeks.

Feel free to contact me through this forum or at paul@garrisonoutfitters.com if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Paul

I have just fitted your rubber channels to the front windows of my county,I had changed the front doors to twin sliding glass type.

The instructions were spot on,the rubbers are a great fit and have stopped the rattle.

We are pleased to announce that Garrison Outfitters is now an official sponsor to the Armed Forces Rally Team in the UK. They are running our window seals on all 6 of their Land Rover Wolf's.

We had the pleasure of joining the team for the Jim Clark Rally in Scotland at the beginning of June and it was wonderful to see our decals on their vehicles.

Here's a quote from their team director... "First of all many thanks for the provision of your window kits which have worked very well in both stopping the constant and annoying rattling and also the automatic vibratory closure of the windows whilst out on the special stages!" A Paramore MBE Major Team Director Armed Forces Rally Team

Major Paramore was also kind enough to do a video testimonial for our product which we will post soon.

For more information on the team and their adventures, visit HOME - Armed Forces Rally Team (http://www.armedforcesrallyteam.com)

Took the words right out of my mouth ! Obviously we'd only need enough bits for one window not 2 as in a station wagon BUT I don;t know whether the rear windows on the utes are the same as the station wagon rear side windows.

Unfortunately, the frame is different and the extrusion won't fit.

Sorry!

Best,

I've never been able to figure out how to fit the bailey channel without removing teh frame - if its possible.

You should consider a rear window kit as both defender utes I've had suffered the problem - as have many others I've ridden in !
