whilst out & about today, I had an unexpected encounter with a (late model) patrol owner.

The patrol owner approached me & asked to have a look have a look at the Deefer & was most complimentary !

Clearly they are not all bad !!!

Just saying...........puffed chest & swollen head - should be OK by tomorrow though!

I was booked for speeding in my Defender(yes it is possible:eek:) just before Christmas, after the copper finished writing me a ticket he spent 20 minutes looking at my defender asking me questions as he wanted to replace his patrol?

He also asked what was it's top speed to which I answered
"145km/h... not that I would know officer"

I had a big head for a few minutes, then I realized it cost me $244:angel:

I once had a truck driver park on the opposite side of a four lane road and run across to the garage where I was refuelling to ask about my Defender as he was looking at buying one himself.. yes it does feel good to know that we aren't the only crazy Defender lovers out there.. :)

At Bribe the other day I was approached buy a bloke who had an ARBified Triton.
He was looking to upgrade due to km on his, but was well impressed buy what a standard Defender comes as compared to his heavily moded Jap vehicle.
