Well people, the build up is finally under way.
Daihatsu 3.8 diesel and 5 speed gearbox, to be married to a Nissan 720 transfer case, and all married back to the Landy front and back.
The Nissan t\case is all wheel drive, just lucky the old girl already has free wheeling front hubs.
Took ages to gather all the bits and the equipment needed at the new house.
Shiny new engine crane, vehicle shifting trolleys, new welder, grinders, LOTS of nice hammers for persuading parts into place etc.
So far all that has happened is rough first positioning of the engine and gearbox.
Combined with lots of head scratching and shifting bits around to figure just how it will all fit together.
Somewhere between the gearbox and the t\case I will try to fit a disk parking brake, got an old harley front disk brake around somewhere, still to scavenge a couple of cable operated calipers to suit.
