Hi all

I am chasing a recommended canvas repairer somewhere in Brisbane. I live on the eastern suburbs and work near Milton so somehere round these parts would be great.

I have used M&M Tarp Repairs at Capalaba previously but found them a bit expensive.

I need to replace the canvas on top of the tub. The roof area is getting very thin.

Cheers
Andrew

If you want our guy, he is near Waterford, he did the 101, our camper & my Series 3.

And he is doing numpty's awning.

I will send you a PM. He is overseas though, for another week.

Hi Andrew, we did a search a few months ago on the same thing. Need a zip repair on our camper trailer cover. Found Bob's Canvas and he got an ok review. Rang and explained what needed to be done over the phone and he quoted $160 give/take but wanted to see it. Drove the camper down and he said it was a bigger job and quoted $360 and wrote this in his book. We couldn't leave the camper so made arrangements to take it back in a few weeks. Did this and he's lost the quote, so as I had to go interstate and wasn't contactable he said he'd look it over again and let my wife know the price. He rang her later that day and quoted $980!! When she said thats more than double your original quote he said he hadn't seen the camper before. When the wife said yes you had, we'd brought it down before he then just said oh it's a much bigger job. Again. Very disappointed with the way he did business and wouldn't touch the guy again.

That's not a great way for them to be conducting business... and I imagine that Karma will get him and his business in the end.. maybe you could try the guy at Waterford too.. or Aussie Traveller (at Pinkenba) do that kind of work also.. :)

Ring the lady at Lledo Trimmers, 127 Murarrie Rd. 3890-1948. Lledo don't do canvas but the lady who works there has a friend who does. I have lost her name and number unfortunately. Does good work and is very experienced in the trade.

Thanks Mr & Mrs HH, if you can PM his details to me, I'll give him a call. A drive to Waterford would only be 40 minutes.

Cheers
Andrew
