well I was left the responsible task of looking after the kids this afternoon. The wife went off to work to earn more money to spend on landies, ha.

Though I haven't taken Lucky for a spin for while, the kids were up for it, so connected up the battery and into life he burst.

Over the road we have a few earth gutters and some small step ups. Nothing really but great to get the suspension working and spin low gear for while. So a a few laps around the block to warm things up then a little drive along the fence line.

There is actually some nice 1.5 meter sloping banks with varied step ups along the fence. It was too hard to stop the car halfway up and get a pic though. I also had in the back of my mind not to bog it, as it's been raining up here for a while.
The wife wouldn't see the funny side (well not initially) of me have to go into a recovery exercise when I'm meant to be jumping on the trampoline with the kids.
But the kids just love it. Knobs they can grab, gear stick they can reach, wind in the hair especially though those weird vents, and that dimmer switch on the steering wheel get a work out, let along the indicator stalk.

up the hill they call out, down the ditch they say, so I must go...

Better not let the word get out Jason, or you will have all the kids in Brisbane lineing up for a ride in Lucky.:D

Cheers, Mick.

More like the fun police come round.

Bit if a shame the lawyers and the ones who fear for themselves have put a stop to a lot of the simple things in life.
It was not so long ago I recall as a kid a slow jauntier along the beach in the back of a ute. A lazy afternoons drive across town to Granpa's place for a lemonade and a jelly, sitting between mum and dad. Sleeping in the back of a wagon at night watching the stars go by and listening to the sounds of the vehicle's mechanics. All a thing of the past, and definitely not in an old series any more......unfortunately.
