200 or 300 Tdi but I don't really know.

That is a 300Tdi, with a 200 Tdi manifold and hybrid turbo conversion. A good mod done around 1996 or so onwards by a few places, John Davis was one IIRC.
The 300 Tdi was 1994 until 1999.

That's a 300 Tdi, used from 1994 to 1998 inclusive, except some later special order vehicles i believe.

And it's in a LHD defender. ( Brake cyl in the wrong place and the air intake goes behind the rocker cover.)

Being that this engine is still available for 3rd world countries in NEW manufactured defenders (Presumably still old body styles not puma ) I wouldn't hazard a guess....Could even be a preproduction one using the 200Tdi turbo configuration....
