Some of the local street life took it upon themselves to smash a wing mirror, and do a dance on my bonnet and roof. We were lucky I guess, they only left footprints and a bit of something that looked like dog poo on a window and the smashed mirror that's about $60 for repairs.

We have a theory that one of our neighbours hates the Landy. He has a 100 Series LC and whinged to me that my vehicle was making it hard for him to get out of his driveway.

Still. Kind of Icky really.

Transfer case could go unnoticed for a while, and they have a viscous coupling IIRC so that could get messy

LOL

You need one of these:
Swann - Advanced Security Made Easy - OutbackCam - Camera & Video Recorder (http://www.swann.com/s/products/view/?product=1063)

Battery powered weather proof with infra red for night vision. Takes photos or movie based on movement (only triggers when it detects something) so you can leave it for ages set up.

Around $150 I think.

Dont worry too much mate. He drives a Toyota, not you. Hope you get to the bottom of it. It is a dog act.

not that my approach would suit you, but i had a similar problem a couple of years ago.

we were renting a unit in a 'nice-ish' street; i parked my p.o.s. xe falcon ($200 drive-to-the-train-station-car) out on the street as the double garage was full with my ute and the wife's car. i had a couple of notes on the windscreen asking me to park it elsewhere, which i promptly ignored, then it started. maybe coincidentally, but once a month or so on the day after bin night i'd go out the front and find the bins on the roof/bonnet/boot of the car.

mostly i saw the funny side of this, knowing someone was getting so bothered by the mere presence of my poor old s-pak. two weeks before it ran out of rego i sprayepainted obscenities down one side of the car, and a massive penis on the bonnet. then i finally met my neighbours. 'that's disgusting!!!!' 'yeah yeah, i know, happened over the weekend. musta been the local kids, they graffitied some fences up the street too...'

neighbour got pretty bent out of shape about it, i reckon i got good value out of half a tin of spray paint on a car that was destined for the wreckers anyway...

Haha. That's a good one.

Someone did that to our old tarrago van when I was a kid...Funny thing was my old man didn't notice and drove it around for a few days. He didn't see the funny side at the time but we laugh about it now.

I was pretty miffed but mrs apocalypse was reaching for the carving knife. The old Disco is a member of the family... And you don't mess with family.

I would drain his transfer case or for a few dollars worth of fun. ring your local garden supply company and get a about 5 metres of crap soil delivered to his drive way but you need to tell them it has to be delivered in driveway before 7 am and just "dump it behind the Toyota. Let the Idiot shovel it away to get his car out

i was thinking Converse. But Ol mate Yota driver is a heavy set 50Yo who wears arch support sandals so he wouldn't have done the damage.

We were really lucky actually, whomever took it upon themselves to dance on the panels was a lightweight and left only dirty footprints. No damage. Which is why i'm so calm about it I reckon.

I have had LRs stolen, keyed, broken into and drunks sleep in my IIA softy, so I'm kind of used to my cars living on the streets and them being targeted.

I.
