Hi All,

If there is a thread regarding this I couldn't find it... (using tapatalk) so sorry!

When driving I have a lot of slack in my steering, and find I'm constantly swinging left to right with the steering wheel when in a straight line, but when turning it feels fairly direct and not loose.

Could this just be the tyres tracking in our poor road surfaces? I noticed my car tracking heavily (these are the widest tyres I have ever had) but not sure of why it is so slack.

Anyone experienced this? I recently had the sway bar bushes replaced in the front due to squeaking. But it didn't stiffen it up.

Thanks in advance!

This has been attributed to lower bushes being worn out. I would agree, as I have experienced it as well. Often it is suggested and somewhat cheaper to replace the how unit, which comes already fitted with bushes, and improved / larger ball joint.

You can read some more on the subject in this thread.
