A week back after ages of nagging I bought the wife one of these iRobot - Roomba 530, Vacuum Cleaning Robot (http://www.roomba.com.au/roomba530.php)

She doesnt like to Vac as she is Asthmatic and it stirs it up.

Its a robotic vacuum, I was a little sus of it at first but it has some benefits and well not overly expensive on sale $360.

I have found it has about 80-90 minutes of charge then a brief period for it to finds its way home to the dock to charge, We have set it up in the center of the house and turn it on each day for to do its stuff.

It does our whole house 3B + lounge kitchen study over 2 days as I point it in the direction and let it go and separate the house by doors.

We will still have use the Dyson but now maybe once a week instead of every 2 or 3 days (2 inside cats and 1 inside dog)

You need to empty it and clean the filter every day thats the only downer so far I have found but that only takes a minute.

The model we have the 530 doesnt play well with water so we need to close the bathroom door as it will climb a 1-1.5 inch step, however there was a wet area mop version that detects tiles and cleans them as well.

So Im chuffed so far and now when I say Im lazy I really mean it......

I saw those in a Big W email a few weeks ago. I was tempted to buy one as I couldn't find a bad word about it online.

Its for the virtual wall that you can turn on and off, to make it stay out of or in a area. Again I did say Im lazy havent been to the shops to get some...

The higher spec one comes with 2 walls and it can be programed to go thru the first after a certain time and then the 2nd and then return to the base.

I just found out I can get a remote control for it and maybe a android app to control it so you can direct it to a certain area. Wife said "great another remote to loose" so I think the phone app might be good value.

Friends of ours have got one, dunno the brand or model, they are away ATM,they recon it is fantastic.Wife did want one but we have 4 different levels at our place so it,it wouldn't work very well,we would have to continually move it from level to level.

I bet it gives the dog & cats something to watch!
