It seems that the tyre companies are getting the message that there is a demand for more capable off road tyres for larger rim diameters. I do not know the time table, but it seems the D697 (which is the successor to the D694) is going to be available in larger diameter rim sizes. 18 and 19 inch at least.
I have 6 new OEM 19 inch Wranglers to wear out (or destroy) before I can justify replacing tyres. I expect there will be a reasonable range to choose from by then. Who knows? An off-road light truck construction with a 120 load rating would be nice.

Hello people,
I know this is an old thread but I have just has my 3rd puncture in 8 months on the OEM Wranglers. Two of them were un-repairable. Admittedly two were large screws that I managed to pick up somehow but I haven't even had the chance to do any serious off road yet!
My plan was to run the OEM’s for as long as possible and get some GOE’s for VHC etc but this is getting silly, so I may have to bite the bullet and change the OEM’s now.
Does anyone know if the D697’s have/will be released in a 19”? My local tyre guy said NO but I thought I’d ask here just in case.

Hi all,
697 LT Duellers are already avail. For 18" I have them
On my D4. Had 697's on my previous D3 as well as the
694's, all LT. They are brilliant tyres in my opinion, only had
Two punctures on the D3 697's and they were both fencing
Screws from a building site 20metres from home.
Wouldn't consider any other tyre and have travelled extensively
Both on and off-road on both.

Another good report about the 697's. This is why I asked about availability to replace my OEM 19's.

Keep hearing good reports about 697 LT's. I currently have stock standard 255/55/19 on a new D4. I assume if I bought some GOE 18 inch rims they would fit ok i.e. no rubbing, fit in the spare tyre compartment ?.
Cheers
Tony
