It's wondering if anyone here knows this...

My parents are due to come over to Oz from the UK. They'll be coming over on a 90day tourist visa.

Anyone know if they'll be able to go to NZ on the same visa?

Next stop, immigration website, so hopefully someone will know, saving me the trauma!!!

Thx
J

Can you get them to take a few of them back when they go?

I'm pretty sure that they'll need a separate tourist visa to travel to NZ, that the NZ authorities will need to grant them.

All can be done from the comfort of one's armchair these days.

Still, check the Immigration website for details - and check the NZ one too.

uk passport gets auto visa on landing in nz, they would then get a new 90 day eta (visa) on arriving back in oz. thats the way i see it but always best to check with immigration. :)

Wot he said...

Different countries & different regs.

Worth checking but UK bods get an auto visa on arrival. Then, while there, just get then to organise another 90 day visa for Oz.

Thanks guys. Think I'll double check on 'that' website. Better safe than sorry.

I think it depends where you're from, Fransis.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're suggesting they take a few Poms back to the UK with them.;)

think on this a bit, if they take some back that will make more room for illegal immigrants and boat people.
after working with many Kiwi's and knowing quite a few Poms i know which i would rather have here ;)

I was thinking of them taking a few Kiwis back actually, but if they can fit a few poms then take some of them also:angel:.

Here's the score on visa's as of today...Note Ive chosen to avoid who should or should not already be here!!!

UK passport holders get automatic entrance into NZ for upto 6 months stay.

Aus tourist visa is required for UK passport holders which is valid for 12 months from date of grant and allows a maximum of 90 days stay on each visit.

So ma & pa can get a Oz holiday visa each, land here & see there beloved, toddle off to NZ for a while and then come back to Oz for a further 90 days. So long as they dont stay for more than 90 days here in any one stint or 6 months there.

If anyone else is interested, here's the link to the Oz tourist visa details:
ETA (Visitor) (Subclass 976) (http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist/976/)

Jon
