Some software updates were done at the same time as the secondary turbo was replaced. The gearbox now allows far better use to be made of the engine's low down torque by allowing much more throttle to be used at low revs and changing up at medium revs even though significant throttle is being used. The engine management still isn't perfect as it waits too long after the gear-change to resume full power mode after the gear change and subsequent drop in revs triggering the change from using 2 turbos to 1, but its better than it was. It also now allows the lever to be moved to the manual/sport position and an upshift be made even with quite some throttle and without first dropping a gear. It obviously waits a moment to see if sport or manual mode is being used rather than initially assuming sport mode. I certainly prefer not to have the engine revving when there's quite sufficient torque available at lower revs. Real fuel consumption of 10.4 l/100km for the actual 100/110 kph 500 km trip home was slightly better than previously.
