Has anyone put in an upgraded camshaft? If so local or out of Turner or RPI in the UK? Standard or custom grind or grind info if you have it?

I am looking for options and hoping to get a stronger towing vehicle rather than shifting the torque higher in the rev range.

To go in my 5.0L range rover rebuild - bloody slipped liner!

Cheers,

Remy

ps Ron did you get your grind details? and what did yours cost from Bruce?

Sorry, Remy, I don't have grind details. It was suggested by Bruce Davis to give more torque down low, not high speed.

get a hold of TRS, cant remember the specs but i got the biggest high torque cam that would fit for my 5.0 from them and mine chirps all four 32" muddies off the line on dry bitumen on std ratio diffs. also towed a 2.5 ton transition up the toowoomba range and it new it was there but didnt care.

Remy,

My car uses a conventional thermostat in the inlet manifold, not the fitting in the bottom hose.

Cool - did you go high compression pistons in your 5.0l or standard?

I have spoken to Phil @ TRS - thanks

also note these at CROW cams but not sure the difference spec wise compared to TRS.

OK i settled on the CROW Cam lpg/torque as i couldn't get any info out of TRS on what they were using grind wise and i didn't want to wait for something from the UK. Anyone else used the crow cam?
