thanks to all for coming,nice to put names to faces,
i hadn't met reads 90 alistair so was good to see his nice 90 in the flesh and do a couple of tracks before the little bloke got bored, maybe next time bring two of them!

timj brought the supercharged, turbo'd and fuel injected game out for its shakedown cruise on the tracks,
i bet tim is so dissapointed that it doesn't stall every five minutes, giving him some mates to play with when they come to help out, now he just has lonely old driving to do.
dj and dad did all the tracks where a lesser driver would not take a d3 and got through all with ease.
grimace came as a late starter, thanks, and did some incredible driving as usual and made some nice numbers, sweet!
busman was an even later starter and led the run up the hill and down the new track, thanks also for coming and i hope the clutch fluid got into the right spots on the way home, that rangie is a big sucker with a isuzu oiler.

only a couple of small dramas, my burnt out wiring problem, sorted quickly, dave's tyre with some air escaping, plugged with the help of dj's kit and dave's clutch deciding to hide the clutch fluid somewhere.

i saw lots of photo's being taken, so please post some shots.
my mate brian was impressed with our cars and our members skills and mateship.
thanks all.
if you can send me some photos, i will pass some on to brian.

Many thanks Harry for this trip.:)
It was very enjoyable.
Work up at 07:30am, and looked at the weather and made a dash for the shed, stopped in for some Hungry Jacks and fuel, then off to Citiview.
Better late than never, as they say.
Met up with the gang, and headed out for a drive.
I was really happy with the Rangies performance, but did end up with a clutch master/slave issue on the way out from the park.
I suspected this was an issue a few weeks ago, and sure enough it rared it head today.
l Drove the car home without a clutch, which was a task, but got the car home safely.
Thanks Grimace for following me home, in case of any further issues.
Glad it happened closer to home, and not at the Springs !!!:angel:
Also a side wall puncture, but Dave Hampson had a tyre repair kit, and we were on our way pretty quickly.
Steve has certainly opened this park up, and has some great tracks to explore. Well worth visiting again in the future.
Tim, the Series was amazing, your ability and thought that has gone into the Injection system on the Series is fantastic.
Good to see Alister out in his 90, and Dave Hampson in the D3, Great driving as always !!

Thanks again Harry, and to all the participants who headed out today.:cool:

Argh made a post and by the time I put allt he photos in there is another one... lol... here is my post from my other thread.

Hey all, I may as well commence this thread by saying it was a lovely day today out at City View.

I made the last minute decision to come along so at approx 6:50 I sprung out of bed and had a couple of chores. Mainly removing the tarp poles from the roof rack, removing the spare tyre from the roof rack, followed by removing the roof rack itself. Then cleaned out all the aquarium crap I had in the car. Did a poo had a shower and on my way.

First stop was the service station for some petrol at 7:28am.
Then a warp speed run to Beaudesert in a hasty attempt to make the 8:30 arrival @ Macdonalds (yum).

The crew inside and out;

Another broken series.... or is it ;)

Then we headed to the park, and ofcourse the first thing that happened..... Harry got stuck;

While the rest of us wheeled;

Then we met up with Busman (another late decision maker) at the camp site;

All while TimJ admired the grass monkeys;

The day was rather smooth going up until the very last minute when after exiting the park and on the dirt road out Busman attempted to change out of low range to discover he had no clutch pedal.... hmm
It was interesting following Dave home as he crashed through the gears!!!

Thanks to all for the great days adventure, was my first time actually wheeling at City View and i must say there is some good tracks around the place.

Thats all for now, Cheers

p.s. hope the photos are int he correct location lol.

Great day out by the looks of it.

Now Tim... Do please tell us more about your little upgrade or is there a buildup thread somewhere? :angel:

Was a fun day, Josh I probably should do a buildup thread but probably too much work :). Clancy is now fuel injected, 4 individual throttle bodies from a bike (CBR600RR), Megasquirt ECU controlling both fuel and spark, individual coil on plugs from the same bike, still not running perfectly but today was the first trip further than around the block so I am pretty happy with the result :). Today it got me down to Cityview, climbed all the hills and got me home again.

Some photos from today -

A nice spot for lunch.

All photos in this thread are proudly sponsored by Canon (60D), not Nikon :p

Reggie is making a little bit of extra noises from her differentials now :D
If anyone has any spare 24spline third members (complete) I am interested.
I will even consider maxi drive centres (thirds) to run unlocked.
I already have plenty of spare axles, just down on third members.

I'd like to have a backup plan for the springs cause it has already caught me out twice before, and after a successful trip last year I would like to have the same opportunity this year.

Prob should post this elsewhere... meh :D
