There is a add about water crossings and the guy talks about his car saying its lifted big tyre's and double diff locks, then they pan across to the car and it's a standard Pajero washed off the road.

People! don't be to worried just one less idiot on the road.

There is another Utube around with another white Pajero on the same crossing where he gets about 3 metres and had a child on board.

A guy in a tinny comes up and pulls them out.

Get a grip you blokes. This isn't funny. It's easy to poke fun at people that aren't as clever/experienced as we may consider ourselves to be. This is how people get killed. It doesn't matter how silly people may be, death is not a fitting penalty for ignorance.
My 1000th post, so there you go.

Yes this is how people get killed and quite often it's the rescuers of stupid people that do this. I don't care what you know about 4WDs you would have to be stupid to drive into that and put rescuers lives at risk. It's dumb and incredibly stupid, they should be ridiculed so others stupid enough to try this may just have second thoughts.

I think you've got a point there, Deano. Stuff like this happens all the time up here and I'm more likely to curse and make fun and call names when it does. What really gets me is when someone who hasn't bothered to do the right thing gets into trouble, gets out of it, and then thinks they've had a great adventure! I carry first aid and recovery gear for people like that.

But then when there's a death you just feel sorry for somebody being that stupid. That's what makes it tragic.
