Well thats me done and dusted

I am now Landroverless (apart from my Series I in the shed) :(

The Defender sold today to a bloke in Brisbane (timbo), bit sad but it's time to move on

Huge thanks to all of you who have given me advice and to all the friends I've made over the years

I'll still hang around and give advice where I can

I'll be picking up my Ford Ranger next Monday, hopefully you'll all still talk to me :p

One day I may be back but only with an Isuzu, you can't get enough reliable power from a 300 Tdi

Jock, I could've BUILT you Isuzu 110 to your specs for less than a Ranger....If you come up with a good straight 110 then we'll make a start:)

Good to see it go to another AULRO member.

I hear what you're saying though, and have my heart set on a 6x6 Perentie dual-cab. One day...

Yes, just been reading about the BAS project, Ashcrofts have done the trans mods etc and it isn't far off being a runner apparently:twisted:

And Auto and 3.2 from a Ranger ought to be a weapon of a drivetrain too:)

Now that would be a defender i would buy 3.2 5cyl and an auto trans, should make for a great tourer- i'd settle for a TDV6 and auto as well ;).
