My Bro with his 98 P38a HSE can use a Faultmate to read and reset faults.

Is there anything comparable and compatible that can be used with the new 2.2 systems, or do we need to carry a sat phone instead of a computer ?

Robert.

Hi Robert, you can use a Faultmate on the 2.2 also.

If you go with a remap from BAS, you can use the remapping tool/device to read and reset faults.

And get lots more power and economy.

BAS should have the new remapping nearly ready for the 2.2.

Am I reading that correctly ?

Can Faultmate be plugged in and used to read and reset faults in the new Defender with the 2.2 donk ?
Be great if in fact that was the case.

Cheers.

Thanks Drover.
Have sent BAS an email requesting what diagnostic tools they have that will read and reset immobilised late model Defender with the 2.2 engine.

Fingers crossed that they have something, eh.

Robert.

Hi mate was just wondering how you went with finding a scan tool for the 2.2. I just picked up my new defender yesterday and I'm reluctant to go off road without one. Thanks jannion
