Hi all,
Just had the new 18" Rims fitted (thanks to Gordon GEO) and Cooper LTZ 285/60/18 tyres.

First the stats, then some pics.

Clearance height - Has increased by 32mm (must remember for underground car parks)
Noise - Has increased slightly at certain speeds but only minimal.
Speedo Readings - The speedo with original 19" rims & OEM tyres was reading 105Kph @ 100Kph. Now reading 101Kph (almost spot on). Must remember this as well to avoid speeding fines.
Ride - Smoother than before due to the extra tyre wall height.
RPM - Noticed at the true 100Kph, the engine is now reving about 100 RPM less.
Fuel Economy - Not sure yet, however in theory I don't think it will make much difference.
Look - F N Awesome. Have had heaps of comments even though they were only fitted yesterday.
Original Rims & Tyres - I am now selling my orignal SE rims with original tyres (done 27K) for those interested.
Here is a photo of the rims / tyres.

Any rubbing when flexed?
There is slight rubbing when reversing into my driveway, which I am looking into, but apart from that none to date.
From what I hear from others with the same tyres, I shouldn't have any problems.

Note: I did have to remove the heat shield from around the spare tyre well.............and deflate the new tyre to fit it in.

Nice one :)
They do get noisier as they wear down, just like any tyre. Also I have found most tyres get sqirmish under brakes as they get down.
Look great new, I'm renewing mine too!

Are they available in standard silver colour, i think they'd look heaps better, if you ran them all the time.

They are available in Grey, Silver or Black..........or you can have them powdercoated yourself.
I went for the grey because Gordon suggested that the grey had a blue tinge to them which would look ordinary against the sliver duco.
I quite like the grey I must admit, even thought my original choice was silver.

Spigot is the same AFAIK, i'm pretty sure D2 + P38a are the same (certain on them) and that L322, Sport and D3/4 are the same (99% certain)

Just finished re-making & fitting my front mudflaps as they had to be longer and wider due to the extra width and height of the Copper LTZ's.

Ended up an extra 20mm wider outside the body and 20mm lower to the ground.

Cheers, Craig
