now i have to find out what shade of blue they were originally painted.

anyone in the know?

I can't answer the colour question but I can suggest you check the wheels before spending any time on them. I sandblasted, primed and painted a whole set (5) only to find they didn't run 'true' and were not capable of being balanced when I had the tyres fitted...
