I spent Easter wetting lines off the south coast I did a solo from 10pm one night no one else on the beach and started with a herring, Then a Silver Bream, then three Rays in a Row all getting progressively larger.... All went back in Then i got a 40cm Tailor that was filleted for bait and I got a 1.3 meter bronzie also released the bait had worked its was up the line so it was put back onto a 9.0 Circle hook and sent back out.....

I got a strong run with the thumping head shakes coming back down the line after another good run and some sideways ones along the gutter I finally dragged in my first landed Mulloway! I was stoked and to make it even better he was revived and swam back out!

Best Easter ever!:D

Nice fish. How many snatch straps were needed to haul it in? ;)

Congrats on your first Mulloway!!! I'm still to land mine, but haven't really been trying too hard...

I'm interested in a fishing trip somewhere, anywhere really...

Cheers

Well done. Nothing like a Jewie at easter. I have caught 8 and 6 of them have been at easter.

Took 40 years for the first one then the others have been at regular intervals since then.

There is something about coming up solid and hearing that drag scream as they run.

Mind you there have been plenty of banjos rays, bronzies and shovel-noses between the big silver freight trains.

Great stuff and you watch the next 6 will now come in quick succession

Nice work mate.

Nothing better than seeing that silver flash in the surf for the first time.

Well done mate.. I spent easter in Bermagui and had a couple of nights chasing the elusive off the beach. We baged plenty of tailor and salmon but not a Jewish.. A big port Jackson got our hopes up but it wasn't to be.

Good on you though.. Very jealous.

There is a long weekend coming up in July! That would be a good weekend fishing! Would love to try Jurien Bay again the beach south of Sandy Cape is a winner!

Ferret believe it or not no snatch straps left the recovery bag that weekend even the max tracks stayed at the bottom of the rear footwell! I must not be trying hard enough! .....

Not to say I didn't look in my door pocket to check my WAulro
members phone number list was where it should be... i patted it gently :eek::eek: and with tyres well deflated I took to the dunes:cool:;)....
