So guys.....
I was looking at discos today and I found a '95 TDi with 250, 000 kms for 6k.
My question is, deal or no deal?
ps - It has a bull bar that I dont really need so I could sell that to get some money back

I just brought a 94 TDI manual with 370,000 K recon engine 60k ago and recon gearbox & transfer case.
car paint in average condition and had some spare parts new tires ect around $500 all up got it for 4k. Still had to get it shipped from Perth to Adelaide.
I'd say if it's got a good service history and in pretty good condition anywhere near 5k your looking good.

If it was an immaculate top of the line model with one owner & a full service history then I'd say yes.
Help us to help you by telling us a bit more about the car....

the dreaded 250k ;):wasntme:, i have been caught out on this as mine needed doing a few weeks after i bought it (258k), be aware that you are very likely going to have to do it as well so get it checked ASAP, and get an engine monitor on your new purchase ASAP as it WILL save you money in preventing you cooking the engine.

Found one in Canberra for 8k with 122,000 on the clock with a full service history.
If you shop around I think you can locate a better deal.
I bought my '97 Tdi in 2009 for 9k with 170k on the clock but I reckon prices have dropped on used cars since then.
