Who would you reccomend to install deisel gas in SEQ?
Is the rebate still on?
Is it worth it?
Do you get better power and economy?
Cheers Cal

Dunno I'm in SA
Yes, $1250 to June 30, $1000 after that
depends on how far/fast you drive
Up to 10% lower running costs unless you use a system tuned for lots more power at its maximum output. So basically, it depends.:p

I have diesel gas on a tdi it was fitted by the previous owner and was fitted by lpgas1 , My observations are at 4 G for the conversion the gains are no where equal to the cost the power gain is slightly and savings are slightly and the price of lpg is going through the roof and higher. I dont even bother using gas any more straight diesel for me:cool:

Do you want a simple system or something a bit more sophisticated that monitors EGT, boost, etc., and adjusts the fuel via a processor?

Depends on gains vs cost I would have thought.

A 10% gain would mean 1L/100k improvement. That's a $3 benefit evey time I drive to Adelaide and back (200kms). If the system cost $3000, then I would have to make the trip 1000 times before I recoup the money. I think a 10% benefit in economy would not make it a viable equation.

I don't know can you e-lab-or-ate? Give me more info! Really dunno yet.
Im going around Oz so would be a min of 25,000km streight up. Obviously not every servo will have Gas. SEQ stands for South East QLD (Basically Sunshine Coast, Bris and Gold Coast! Dunno where Adelaide comes into it, except wen I visit there on my way round
Can Any1 reccomend someone in SEQ?
Cheers for all the advise so far

What sort of vehicle is it?

The three vehicles shown here: DIESEL GAS AUSTRALIA (http://www.dieselgasaustralia.com.au/default.aspx?ID=Vehicles) were done here in Sydney by Diesel Gas Technologies aka KLR Automotive (not DGA). I've driven a couple of them. They did use the DGA system.
DGT stopped using DGA systems and, with Modern Motors in Dungog, developed their own more sophisticated system called Gastek Sequent II. I believe Modern Motors does most of the 4WD side of the diesel gas business them and they will know who does them elsewhere in Oz. DGT do commercial installations and some 4WD installs.
The guys from Modern Motors are on this forum (as they are LR specialists) or call Murray Rumble and ask him.

I contacted the Diesel/Gas Australia people in WA and this is the info to date.
For a D2a TD5 auto the minimum all up cost is $4,400 - includes either a 17 useable litres underfloor tank (RHS) or a 34 litres in car tank. If you don't have ACE/air Suspension then a second LHS underfloor tank can be fitted after removing some brackets - wait for it - for $1,400. EGT gauge/probe with LPG cutoff fitted = $450.
I'm assuming this is for a SVI/sequential injection system, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Might be cheaper to drive to SA to visit beeuteah (apologies if spelling is incorrect).
One comment was that it is "expected" the rebate (currently $1,250, $1,000 after June 30) may disappear with the next federal budget.
There is an article in the latest 4WD Action (no 160).
Cheers

Ah well, I have done plenty of these engines, they don't need an all-singing-and-dancing electronic setup:). Dead easy and cheap to do:):). But I don't go to SEQ to do them:(. Best of luck.
