Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone is able to tell me if my D4 19" rims would fit a 1999 model Discovery??

Your feedback would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Craig

Hi Craig,
Unfortunately no!
D2 has 5 x 165mm PCD stud pattern - D3 5 x 120mm

Bugger. I have someone wanting to buy my SE rims and it appears they won't fit his Disco.

Thanks Owl.

IanI don't think that's right.

The D2 has the same PCD as the P38, D3, Sport & current RR.
You will need centralising rings & the matching wheel nuts to fit the later wheels to the early cars though.

I think it's the RRC, Defender & D1 that has the 165mm PCD.

They need spigot rings to centralise them and the correct wheel nuts but other than that they fit. Fleabay is full of spigot rings for P38's, so people can fit the 20" RRS rimz to them.

Out of the box, they DO NOT FIT.

You will have to get some sort of adapter, spigot... to make them fit.

Dad does Camper hub conversions in spare time, so here are the

FACTS

D2 + P38a - 5 x 120mm PCD (smaller spigot than RRS, Vogue and D3/4)

D3 + Sport + Vogue - 5 x 120mm PCD (bigger spigot)

Both types have the same studs 14 x 1.25 mm (i know they are the same, check the Pitch though), the NUTS ARE DIFFERENT as the wheel holes on the D3 style are smaller, to fit later wheels onto the earlier cars, you need a spigot spacer as landrover alloys (not Freelander) locate on the centre spigot, these are available from speedy wheels or ebay, you just need the nuts to suit the wheels you use.

Defender, D1, RRC - 5 x 165mm PCD (not interchangeable without the sud pattern adapters from soem suppliers)

Hope this helps

Also should add that some dodgey wheel places juts put them on with the new nuts, i have heard of people trying to get wheels balanced several times to get rid of vibrations, make sure they use the spigot spacers (when fitting D3 to D2), Also you can't fit D2 wheels to a D3 unless you get the wheels runed in a lathe for the larger spigot, but the 16 inch wheels don't fit the brakes anyway.
