D3 hitch -> RRS

Can anyone confirm or deny that a D3 factory hitch will fit into a RRS? I need to organise a hitch for my Dads new (MY 06) Sport and I can get a hitch from a D3 for a fair price.

Don't know if they will fit, but I would be getting a D4 hitch rather than a D3 hitch. The D3 ones are too low and were prone to failure.

You may find some people on this site who have fitted a Mitch Hitch and have their OEM D4 hitch surplus.

Yes it will fit - but as mentioned, the D4 one is better as it doesn't hang down as far. Not an issue if your only towing on bitumen or light tracks.

The RRS & D3/4 hitches are interchangable.
