I think that wood paneling looks tacky, it reminds me of that wood paneling that you would use to line out the seaside shack.
Sort of looking at a inside out cheapie wardrobe.

Maybe Im alone in looking for a Defender that has the refinement of the rangie.
Come to mention it, how does that work? I have a P38 and a series 2 and I love them both (but in different ways!)
How do Series owners feel about the move from rugged simplicity to overt luxury in the marque?

You can have both. As you said you love each for a different reason. I own a Classic Rangie and a newer one, but I am on the lookout for a Series at the moment - worlds apart from the L322, but still something I love and really want.

No, but nice burl walnut gives me a Land Rover !!!
