The horn push/dipper switch is attached to a stator tube which runs the length of the steering column and comes out of the base of the steering box. All wires for it run along the inside of this tube.

There is a square plate on the base of your steering box with a round fitting which crimps the stator tube in place. You need to undo the crimping nut and GENTLY tap the tube up the shaft, you can often use a small flat blade to tap the edge of the tube. Do not pull on the horn dipper switch assembly, continue tapping the tube upward until you can hold it from the steering wheel side and then ease it out.

Before you do this you will need to disconnect the wiring, this is housed in a small bakelite junction box on the bulkhead, below the reg box/ fuel pump, near the filler plug for the steering column.

Cheers,
Geoff
