Copied from the OL forum. Hoyks had to suffer this girl's thoughts. I agree with Hoyks summation (in bold)!
Self serve has got to be better than dealing with the ignorant fat slob at the Woolies deli.
She was asking customers why there was a public holiday for ANZAC Day and not for 'Muvvers Day'.
'I mean, there are more Muvvers than there are Anzacs eh.'
Well, the last one died a few years back I replied
'Yeah :D !.... So they don't need a holiday' she replied.
You ignorant tart!

I'm not having a go at Hoyks, I agree with him.
Edit: I typed that in response to your original post. When I submitted it, it came back with your revised one. :D

I totally agree with your sentiments Mick, anything else I could add would get me in trouble with the moderaters.

Nothing unusual coming from the woolies people. Most of them are alright, but you do get some ignorant wallopers in there as well.
I deliver to them daily and when it comes to the weekend, you back up to the dock and get out to ring the bell. You hear somebody on the other side of the roller door and as soon as you hit that bell, they go all quiet and disappear.
It really gets up my goat(and thats putting it mildly)..
rant over
cheers

I was in a computer swap meet on Remembrance Day a few years ago.
I was in intense negotiations with a vendor not born in this country. An announcement was made over the PA calling for a minute silence. Wanting to close the deal the vendor kept telling me it didn't matter and kept trying to negotiate despite me telling him to keep quiet. At the end of the minutes silence I told him he was most disrespectful and if he wants to live in this country he should learn a bit of the culture.
I walked away from the sale. It was a good price too.
