G'day All,

Has anyone found a solution to the King Gees getting hung up on the Defender Door Striker Plate?

There has been a number of times I have gone to get out of the Defender and found myself getting hung up on the front door striker plate only to damage the King Gee's / Fancy Pants!

So what if any solution have you come up with to modify the front door striker plate?

Cheers

Mate when i was in RAEME (Army) They did a modifcation which consisted of a plate fitted around the striker to stop the seat belts chooped up. Curved plate. Maybe a some one has a picture.

I have more of a problem with "other people" getting out with the seat belt still over their shoulder so that it folds over and doesn't retract, and then slamming the door on it, several times, because it's jammed between the latch and the striker plate .

Pfft. Soft Defender drivers!

The old Countys had a sharp plate over the latch which would slice through trousers. I dunno how many pairs of my dress Stubbies were ruined by it and were relegated to garage Stubbies.
