When I opened the forum up on my iphone the other day it said it was now compatible with a new iphone app. Does anyone know the name of the iphone app?

Can someone give me a hint as to where the thread is?
I tried the search function but unfortunately because tapatalk adds "posted on tapatalk for the iphone" every thread that anyones posted with tapatalk comes up. :D

Don't know about the iphone but I installed it on my Nokia after seeing it on here and hated it.
Much better to use the pda view straight from the AULRO website.

Open your "settings" icon on the phone, scroll down to "Applications" and open the Tapatalk menu.
First slide down is "Show Signature". Turn it to OFF and its gone.
SWMBO was playing with it the other day and aparently found where you can edit it, but me thinks it was my signature for my email account on it....

Since getting tapatalk I hardly ever use the home computer for Aulro. I found it that good and easy on the iPhone.
Then there was an upgrade available for tapatalk.
Since then loading photos has become harder and longer. Also when loading a thread it now goes to the last post, not the last post I had read.
Is there a way to go back to the old tapatalk?

I have noticed photos are now much slower to load also.
As for the last post thing this is an option in tapatalk. go to the main menu, then settings and then where is an option called something like ' thread landing behaviour' you can set this to first post, last post or first unread post which is handy.

Photos still slow, but sorted the viewing on the posts. I thought there must have been a settings area, but according to wife, must have been having a 'boy look'
Better now, thanks.
I got tapatalk months ago, this was an available upgrade that had tripped me up.

It's an app that optimises the browsing experience for those forums for which tapatalk is available. You download the app, and search for AULRO, and take it from there. You can read all threads, Pm's and posts without zooming in etc.
It makes navigation around the website easy on the relatively small screen that is an iPhone. Definitely worth adding to your phone's apps - why can't you download to the phone?
It is the go! :)

I suspect your company is trying (vainly) to keep all sorts of garbage they haven't assessed off their phones!

IMHO its the best app for browsing AULRO'. Try it anyway, its only a couple of bucks... if you don't like, just dump it.
Like the e-bay app, just be careful of roaming charges I believe they can both suck up the meg's pretty quick when outside your own network.
Also am certain you can still three finger double tap to zoom anywhere on tappatalk you just need to find it in accessibility under settings and enable it.

Don't like the fact you can't access usercp. Firefox and android is the go. full zoomable and everything can be done.

I am sure That Incisor posted several months ago that he was not going to continue to support Tapatalk, just after I had paid for the app.

it's was 3 bucks, build a bridge! :D:D:D:D
i had to buy both as well...
most of the time tapatalk is running in the background but it has several issues i am not happy with on the server side of things
when something goes wrong tapatalk is the first thing turned off
i officially support forum runner as it much easier on the server in many ways and i have less issues with it when it needs updating / upgrading on the server.

Just wondering if anyone uses Tapatalk on an iphone or iPad to access the forums. Is it better than accessing the forums through a normal browser like Safari or Chrome?

Incisor, the moderator, has told us previously that "Forumrunner" is the better app and easier for him to support so I swapped to that app.

tapatalk is more problematic from my end
but they both reside on the server
the officialy supported app is forumrunner and i reserve the right to remove tapatalk at will ...

Just like to see what I see at home. Have the option of seeing updated threads via user cp etc.

Out of curiosity if forum runner is the officially supported app why does tapatalk get recommended when browsing AULRO via a normal browser on an android device?
Is there a way to disable that coming up and suggest forum runner instead? I'm happy to jump across if its formally supported but there might be a few fooled into buying tapatalk this way.

What phone/browser are you using? I'm now using a Samsung and their generic browser and get your message also. But the HTC I last had suggested Forum Runner, but Firefox on HTC suggested Tapatalk. Don't have Firefox on S'sung to compare.

That's interesting. On my ASUS TF201 using Chrome I get the tapatalk message (I prefer browsing through the browser on that one hence why I always see the message), but when I tried it on my HTC Desire S (which I use tapatalk on) using the standard android browser it comes up with Forum Runner.
Very odd.
