G'Day all

Hoping someone has done this before and can give me a few tips.

I am finally installing my compressor backup in my D3 (Petrol) by using twin Viair 480C compressors - 9L reservoir @ 200PSI :):) (see my other post) I want to place them in front of the battery box behind the front left headlight. There is just enough space if I move the vacuum pump for the brake booster. I am a bit nervous about anything to do with the brakes so any advice welcome.

Also any suggestions on where to put it.

Cheers
Harry

Hey Harry,

I see this post is rather old but was wondering how you went?

I also need to move this vacuum pump slightly to fit in a third battery in my petrol D3. Is it only the petrols that have them?

Cheers,

Dave

The petrol's have an electric vacuum booster pump whereas the diesel's have an engine driven vacuum pump driven from one of the camshafts. Back of engine near firewall.

Sorry - only just seen your posts..

Your solution looks very neat - I have not had any problems after moving mine to fit twin Viar compressors (one on to of the other)
