When I bought my 02 D2 in Feb last year I was offered a 3 year warranty through Australian Warranty Network for $1000. At first I was against the idea. But at the time selling warranties on TV and the works, and knowing it pays to have them, I went for it.
So glad I did get the warranty, as the Disco had a few problems to deal with. All in all the repair work that was done has exceeded $3000. And all I have to do is have it serviced every 6mths. So if you are buying a car and they offer a warranty, I would say that they are worth it IMO.
