Greetings all
A friend has asked me to fit some spotlights to his new Discovery 4 because the dealer price was too high, is there anything that I should be aware of before I launch into it? I have fitted plenty to my own Landrovers and other vehicles in the past.

He has purchased the Landrover nudge bar which has been fitted by the dealer to mount them on.
Regards
David :)

I fitted an led light bar.
Use a quality relay, fuse holder, and find the right light switch cable behind the left hand headlight. Power to battery (with fuse), earth from relay and lights to body earth.
Switch for lights is to the right of the normal light switch on the inside.
Very happy with my fit.
I can give you the colour of the cable for the high beam if it helps. There are a number of active ones that come on....you need the right one the lights up the halogen, not the bixenons....voltage was actually different. My father was an auto sparky so that helped.
It was an easy job.

Thanks Brett
The colour wire would be very useful as would a photo of your disco.

Brett, could you elaborate? Do you mean there is/was a switch behind the dash at that point, or that the OEM wires terminate there?
(MLR installed the brake controller in that position on mine - to the far right of the whole panel)

No standard wires....I just installed my switch in that spot. I moved my brake controller from that spot as my wife kept hitting the set button each time. I now have this on the steering column, but still easy to reach and see.

I still need to post the pics of the wires at the light.
