90 or 110

Good morning all,

I am (very) soon going to order a new Defender. I've had a brief (very brief because the salesman didn't want it to get any more than a couple of kilometres on it) drive in a 110 and found the rear seat room to be very limited for the only remaining child we have at home. He is only 11 at the moment, however his two older brothers are tall and I expect he will go the same way.

I cannot get a look at a 90, however from the photos it appears to me that the rear seats provide greater leg room even if they are not traditional seats.

Can anyone let me know whether the rear seats in the 90 are suitable for anything more than occasional passengers?

IMO, the rear seats in the 90 are even tighter, the old sidefacing 'jump' seats were good, but these seem a PITA, go the 110, any day, if you get a 7 seater he can still sit in the back haha

I've got the 90 and I love it... however my kids are mostly grown and if they were younger I couldn't see it working it for me.. the back seats in the 90 are not the most comfortable as they seem to be raised higher than the front and the storage is space is limited also..

I drove a 90 last week and tried the back seats. I am 6 foot ( 1.83 m) and my head was hitting the roof. I had to 'slide' down the seat a fair bit in order to fit. Leg space was not great either.
In summary, I was very disappointed with the back seats, but the problem is I love the short wheel base ....

I have just purchased a 90, happy with the rear seat for our son (10yrs) but agree with reply from IZN about the head room. I am only 5'10" tall and my head touches the roof, so if your son is going to be tall it may not work. So comfort OK, head room limited. Cheers.
