D4 Tow Hitch on D3

Can anyone confirm that a D4 Tow Hitch Receiver (i.e. the removable bit) will fit a D3? Just rang Austral about the cost of one and they said I would need the complete D4 tow hitch pack ( at $700 plus!!!)

I need to get my hitch receiver higher but am reluctant to spend $660 on a Mitch Hitch.

Yes, the OEM D4 hitch mount will fit the D3.

I did exactly that.
Fitted a D4 unit to my D3.
No problems.

Yes ivan , does fit the disco 3 RRS 2007 , i just cut and shortened the shank on my reece tow toung to fit in the d4 hitch , and all is good .

Sounds like you've been quoted for the reciever plus the wiring kit.:eek:

Should be around the $400.00 mark?

At least thats what I paid. Mind you that was some time ago.
