As they say: The future of monochrome digital photography.
A very interesting product.

There was a review on this camera on Digital Photography Review (http://www.dpreview.com)
I would love to get one for portraits and landscapes but I couldn't afford one.

Yet another example of Technology for the sake of 'technology' gone around in a perfect circle... leaving you back where you should never have departed from, but minus a heap of money...:p
Why not dust off your old 35mm SLR camera, scan the negatives and have them printed onto whatever medium suits the pic.
Cheaper than (nearly) EIGHT THOUSAND dollars...:wasntme:
-Plus you get to sleep in your own bed....

I do not use my Nikon film camera for long time and for very important reason (for me)
First it is hard to get good quality film and paper, seond I do not have room for a dark room and third I do not like to send my film to be developed.
With my digital Nikon cameras I can do as good job as with the Leica and with my PC and software I have a virtual dark room were I have control of my work.
Regarding $ 8000 for the Leica camera and $ 7000 for the lens with Nikon I can expend $ 20000 in a body and one lens but I am not prepared to do it so.
My comment about the price of the Leica was just for fun but not because we need that equipment to produce a good result.

I bet that Leica haven't been able to replicate the smell of Fixer when you copy the DNG files off it either. :( :D

There's a medium format Pentax 67 camera and lens on eVilBay at the moment.
