Credit where it's due this is quite fast. I guess in a few years this will be considered slow. We bang on about technology ruining our trucks but it sure has improved some things.

Typically cable is 30mbps, but you are one of the lucky ones on HFC , Hybrid Fiber Cable, Its Fiber to the node & cable to the premises ( even using the existing foxtel cable)
I was installing it in melbourne with Cisco routers & the other rollout was sydney, didn't know it was in QLD,

114 mbps was the fastest I ever tested so you are very lucky.

Its a sweetner to get customers ready for UHSI so that they don't back out when the high prices of NBN roll in !!

The irony is that I am about 4km from the NBN cable but it will probably take ten years to reach me! :(:(:(
