2003 TD5 AUTO LIMP HOME MODE

Hi all,
In the last few days my auto trans has repeatedly gone into 'limp home' mode. Its done 265000 kms with no tranny probs till now. It resets when stop and resart engine and drives fine until say I stop and select reverse. Other observations are that red lights next to selector leaver go out and letter dissappears from window on dash.

Tim, these symptoms lead me to believe the XYZ switch is on the way out, search 'XYZ switch' using the search function from the upper menu bar.

Thanks JC,was trying to get a D2 going the other day,this was another issue too.
