Lots of changes for the military vehicles REMLR Forum (http://remlr.com/forum/) has moved to their own site.

The changes are: Creation of Military Land Rovers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/military-land-rovers/) forum.
Creation of Leaf Sprung Military Land Rovers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/leaf-sprung-military-land-rovers/) sub-forum.
Creation of Coil Sprung Military Land Rovers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/coil-sprung-military-land-rovers/) sub-forum.
Renaming "F/C and other military variants" to 101 Forward Controls and Variations (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/101-forward-controls-variations/) as a sub-forum under Military Land Rovers.
Creation of Military Trailers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/military-trailers/) sub-forum.
AND The creation of a new sub-forum in the Series Land Rovers forums SIIA and SIIB Forward Controls (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/siia-siib-forward-controls/)
Over the next few days threads in the old F/C forum that belong to other sub forums will be moved. No debate.

So what goes where? If it is about a Series 1 or 2/2a or 3 Military Land Rover it goes in the Leaf Sprung Military Land Rovers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/leaf-sprung-military-land-rovers/)
If it is about a Perentie, or a Remediation Defender TD5 or a coil sprung Military Land Rover from another country. it goes in the Coil Sprung Military Land Rovers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/coil-sprung-military-land-rovers/)
If it is about a 101 Forward Control it goes in the 101 Forward Controls and Variations (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/101-forward-controls-variations/)
If it is a Series SIIa or SIIb Forward Control it Should go into http://www.aulro.com/afvb/SIIA and SIIB Forward Controls (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/siia-siib-forward-controls/)
General discussion about things Military or military Land Rovers/vehicles that don't meet the general description for the other forums can go under the main forum Military Land Rovers (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/military-land-rovers/)6x6 Perenties are based upon a coil sprung Perentie so will go into the coil sprung sub-forum even though they have rear leaf suspension.

The British Centaur can go in the Leaf Sprung sub forum because they are based upon the SIII and have leaf springs for the front axle, although they could go in the main forum.

If something ends up in the wrong place, no sweat it can always be moved.

Enjoy! :)

O.K. Chaps.

What is the concensus re the oddities. We have a couple of threads that don't quite meet our criteria. Army S2 B fc (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/military-land-rovers/73146-army-s2-b-fc.html)
New Perentie Land Rover oh very rare 6x6 fc82 (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/101-forward-controls-variations/143386-new-perentie-land-rover-oh-very-rare-6x6-fc82.html)
Pinzgauer 101 (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/101-forward-controls-variations/86967-pinzgauer-101-a.html)
Ultimate FC (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/101-forward-controls-variations/118657-ultimate-fc.html)All these threads discuss military vehicle oddities that fit in with the military F/C theme but are not 101s.

Should they be in the main Military Land Rover forum or stay in the 101 sub-forum?

Leave the Ulitmate F/C where it is as it is a forward control .

I dont like this new set up why the change from the old REMLR that we had? :eek:Mod hat on.

You need to ask that question in REMLR (Registry of Ex Military Land Rovers - Index (http://remlr.com/forum/)) not here.

It was a decision of REMLR Inc. they have accepted the hospitality of AULRO for a long while and now thought they were mature enough and large enough to support a forum of their own.

Good luck to them and AULRO wishes them well. (Yes I am a member of REMLR Inc. too.)

. Lots of History/Threads Lost with the new forum.

Maybe not. Apparently it's possible to transfer threads between forums, so me may see them pop up again.

Might take a little time to sort out though, with everyone finding their feet again, and the administration with their hands full both in private life and online. :)

I don't think this is the case. A little patience please as a few people (not me) are working on things.

Morning All

Most of you will have noticed that REMLR is again open in "read only" form and that I have replaced the previous REMLR Mods. Don't get too excited, its not going to open up fully here, however we have negotiated a single compromise.

If anyone has a thread about their own vehicle, started by them or the previous owner, I have permission to move that thread to the Military Vehicles forum in the AULRO Pinnacles.

No other threads will be moved.

If you would like to make such a request, send me a PM.
