View Full Version : D4 Bluetooth "echo box" mode. Anyone else have it?

I have an annoying automatic function in my D4's Bluetooth system. I'll be in the middle of a conversation and in the background I can hear a faint echo of my own voice in the speaker, then all of a sudden, sometimes with a loud high frequency tone, I will loose the caller at the other end and have my own voice as an echo.

It has happened with 3 different phones.

It doesn't matter what you do immediately, turn off bluetooth, unpair the phone, re-pair and reconnect bluetooth, shut both the phone and car down and re start. The echo box remains. Only after the car has been shut down for some time and the phone away from the car for a similar time will the phone/bluetooth return to normal function.

Can not remember the location of the first coupe of echo box events, but 4 of the last 5 have been at Mascot (either side of QANTAS leggoland) and the 5th time on the Pacific Hwy near the radio transmission tower at Woodbury (AirServices Australia I think).

Dose anyone else have this problem?

Could it be interference between air navigation transmissions and the D4 system?

Diana

Hi Diana,
Mine didn't echo, but kept disconnecting with my phone..........and other phones.
Had the radio replaced and has been good since.

Maybe its the radio??????
