A mate of mine sent me the link, he is thinking of doing his TJ Jeep to protect the original paint. Looks like an easier and cheaper version of a vinyl wrap.
My guess is that it would need doing every year or two but A glow-in-the-dark land rover would certainly be unique.

Costs is about $400 by the looks of things.

Thanks for those links. I've been thinking about spraying my daughter's old mercedes with a flat finish - and that VW looked pretty good, especially as it was done with an airless sprayer. It must 'flow' nicely.

I don't mind a matte finish car at all, but black would be v hot over summer.

Does the matte finish absorb laser light? just wondering:angel:

during the Variety 4WD Challenge some of the cars used a paint on (use combination of roller and brush) temporary film for $60. Only lasts the one trip but appeared to work really well. I will try and get the name of it if you are interested. Great if you know you are going on a trip likely to leave bush pin striping. Leaves a matt finish and goes on like aquadhere glue - white but dries 'clear'
