Hi folks and this is not about the fitting of one of my dual battery isolator kits, but I am continually asked by customers, requesting one of my dual battery isolator kits, for information about how to mount 2 and even 3 batteries under the seat in Defenders and the likes.

Can I suggest a STICKY be set up so people can post up how they did their respective battery mounts in these vehicles, so it makes it easier for other to see how they might do something similar in their own vehicles?

Hi Tim, hope you are well, this is a good idea, I have reported this post :p so it should be 'stuck' sometime soon.

Actually I'd like to suggest that it NOT be a sticky but rather a forum be started for proper technical stuff, and any off topic posts be ruthlessly deleted.

Hopefully we could end up with something along the lines of
Land Rover Technical Archive - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum (http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php'showforum=15)

Its a good point. I had a technical/electrical question the other day and had no idea which part of the forum to post it in.

I have been struggling to find county v8 specific info using search... Maybe defining this area a bit further would help moving forward.

I've only been hanging out here for a few months, but the defender area does seem to bundle a lot into it.

Although, whenever I ask for guidance/input it always comes so I wouldn't want that bit to change!!!

LATE THOUGHT... I know I am only new here, but is it time to consider breaking down this massive chunk of "brains trust" by engine type?

As with the Isuzu area? Suggest V8, 200, 300, TD5 and Puma.

There is little need for me to be sifting through Puma and TD5 stuff, and I am betting a lot of the late model guys have little interest in an old V8.

Whilst a split into more sections would improve search it may doesn't get as many views and comments because people only checking the main sections........?'m
