Hi guys,

I'm looking for more load carrying capacity for my Disco 3 (tyres, tracks, Jerry cans etc) and was thinking of importing a expedition rood rack from Prospeed in the UK but want to see if anyone has bought one from them and how it is before I order.

http://www.prospeed-offroad.co.uk/news.html'start=6

Does anyone have any experience with the Prospeed racks or any of their other products?

Thanks advance.

Have to say the video of their rock sliders/side protection was pretty impressive.

Any thoughts on the racks?

Unless you have your own private jet the cost of frieght would be prohibitive, have you a quote on frieght, Regards Frank.

Have an all up price for the unit and freight - actually not too bad, especially compared to genuine land rover options.

Really just want to find someone in Oz who has fitted one to see that it goes on OK and works as intended. Or get some suggestions on alternatives.

why dont you ask this question on how they fit on a UK forum......the fact that your making the effort to import one would lead me to believe there would be very few if any people with these racks fitted here in Australia because most do not go to that sort of effort for something so big....

at least buy asking people in the UK where the rack is normal supplied you should be able to get honest opinions on fit and build quality perhaps not on whether they work well in our conditions when loaded but seriously its just a roof rack I dont see how much more different it would be than any oother rack carrying stuff on top of a D3/D4.

If I were you I would ask the fit build quality on UK forum and then ask how and what others carry on there roof racks/bars on there D3/D4's here in Australia.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try DISCO3.CO.UK - Index (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/)

Freight price for racks, all mounting accessories and rock sliders was 490 GBP. Not cheap, but given the size or the units not too bad.
